I want to sign up for online classes. I have already filled out the FAFSA. What's my next step?

Response from Ask Me:

Your next step to registering for online classes is to demonstrate your college readiness level, if you have not already done so. You can do this by submitting a college transcript for evaluation, submitting your SAT/ACT scores if they are less than two years old, or by taking our Accuplacer Exam. You can find out information about our Accuplacer Exam and/or submitting your SAT/ACT scores at https://www.csmd.edu/studen... . You can find out where to send in your official transcript at https://www.csmd.edu/studen... .

Once you have demonstrated your college readiness level, you will then want to meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss which courses with be right for you in your program of study. An advisor can also help you register for classes. You can find out information about our Advising Offices at https://www.csmd.edu/studen... . If you wish to take online courses, please note that they will incur a technology fee of $20/credit.

Since you have also filled out your FAFSA, you should speak with the Financial Aid Department concerning any further documents you may need to submit. They can be reached at 301-934-7531 or at finaid@csmd.edu.
