How do I drop or withdraw from a class?
If you know that you will not pass a class this semester, you will need to take action to drop the course. You can drop a course through online services in your my.CSMD account. If you have have a hold on your account, please contact the Admissions Department at 301-934-2251 option 0 to determine the nature of your hold so that you can be directed to the office that will be able help you withdraw from you class.
Be aware that dropping courses or failing courses may impact your financial aid benefits or VA benefits. Failing courses will negatively impact your GPA and could lead to academic probation. If you are receiving aid, please contact the appropriate office to discuss how your aid may be affected. You can reach the Financial Aid Department at 301-934-7531 or finaid@csmd.edu.
