Can you please explain what a Web-Based class is and how it is different from your other types of classes?
CSM currently offers three different types of classes to help meet our students' needs. A Web-Based course is taken completed online in a virtual environment with no set or required meeting days and times. When you take a web-based course, you will be responsible for proper time management to meet all of the requirements set by your instructor.
CSM also offers Real-Time Technology (RTT) classes and Hybrid classes. RTT classes can take place in a virtual environment, with scheduled meeting days and times for live lectures and class activities. A RTT class may have a physical campus location for use once it is deemed safe to attend classes in person again due to the COVID-19 virus.
A Hybrid class combines distance learning and in-person instruction. Some on-campus instruction or activity is mandatory for these courses, in order to meet requirements that can't be fulfilled remotely.
If you are unsure which instruction type is right for you, please consider meeting with an Academic Advisor for assistance with choosing your classes. You can meet with an Advisor by calling 301-934-7574 option 6.
