What is a credit?
A credit designates the number of hours spent in class. Credits are awarded for courses upon successful completion of the course objectives. Most of the courses are offered at 3 credits each. These courses meet for 3 hours a week during 15-week sessions and generally 6 hours a week for condensed, 7-week sessions. Developmental courses are classified non-credit and will not apply to a degree program but are considered prerequisites for required courses.
