What is the minimum number of credits you have take during a semester?
The College of Southern Maryland does not require a minimum number of credits to be taken in during any one semester. However, there are certain situations where there is a required minimum amount.
If you receive financial aid, scholarships, or you are an athlete, there may be a minimum number of credits you need to complete in order to take advantage of any aid you have been awarded. International Students are required to register as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credits) in order to maintain their F-1 visa status. Please contact the Admissions Office at 301-934-2251 option 0 if you have questions about this.
