If I want to be a psychology major, besides general psychology, what course should I take?

Response

We would suggest a student consider courses under the Behavior and Social Sciences Pathway.

First, it is important to identify what type of courses you are eligible for. A student's test scores (Accuplacer or Remote, ALEKS PPL), CLEP, SAT, ACT, or GPA can determine a student's eligibility.

Dual and Concurrent Enrollment students are not permitted to take developmental courses.

Second, students are encouraged to review our Dual Enrollment Recommended Courses by Areas of Interest document. This document recommends the courses we suggest students follow based on the colleges' nine pathways. View here: https://www.pgcc.edu/media/...

Third, students will need to select courses based on their eligibility and relationship to their path and academic goals.

Four, discuss your courses with parents/guardians, Professional School Counselors, and your PGCC Dual Rep/COAST Coordinator.
