Is it difficult balancing dual enrollment as a college student and highschool student at the same time?
It can be a challenge to balance dual enrollment, which is the process of being a high school student and a college student at the same time. But it doesn't have to be.
Students should be able to identify the following:
1. Their purpose for participating
2. The amount of time they have to participate
3. The tyes of courses they are interesting in taking
4. The number of courses they are interested in taking
Considerations
Students often have to balance two learning platforms, their high school platform, along with the colleges' platform.
If you have a hectic or rigous schedule, adding on college courses can add another layer of engagement. You have to account for the time it takes to commute to class, in addition to the actual class time/duration and be able to set aside time to study.
Services
The college offers multiple support services such as the Writing Center, Math Lab, Library, Tutoring Center and Academic Advisors to assist with your success in your course(s) and getting acclimated to college life. Never hestitate to outreach to your COAST Coordinator or Dual Enrollment
