The Liberal Studies program is very broad in nature; having a minor allows you to be able to focus in a particular area of interest. It can also help when marketing the degree itself. For example, you could say, "I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, with a minor in (name of minor), and expand on what you learned by focusing on those classes in your minor.
