How do I get into the Dental Hygiene program?
Due to the growing interest in this field and in UMA's program, students must be selected from a competitive admissions process. Students are either a) directly admitted to the program or b) admitted to UMA on a pre-track (“pre-DHY” or “pre-dental hygiene”) with one of two sub-tracks: pre-requisites met or pre-requisites not met. If students are pre-reqs not met, they are encouraged to take needed coursework and then submit a change of program form – this flags their status as eligible for review.
