Is the Biology program the same as a Pre-Medicine program?

Response from Diane Anderson:

Many medical schools look primarily for an undergraduate degree and a group of qualifying science courses. Pre-Med is usually a track within another degree, typically biology, with specific advising to ensure students complete courses required for medical school. UMA's Biology program has faculty advisors who will assist you with selecting courses that apply to your individual goals. UMA students have gone on to careers in laboratory science, graduate studies in science, or have continued their education in areas such as medicine, allied health, and pharmacy.
