Is there a way to travel from Stevens Commons to campus or the greater Augusta area without my own car?

Public Transportation

UMA has an arrangement with the Kennebec Explorer (http://www.kennebecexplorer... ), which provides service between Hallowell (Gardiner Route) and the UMA Augusta campus, in addition to other stops to access retail areas and services. The trip to campus takes about 40 minutes via the bus (12 minutes by personal car). The bus is free for UMA students who show their UMA ID card. Current UMA students report hours of operation are generally 9-4 on business days.
