UMA offers a Veterinary Technology program, not a Veterinary Medicine program. Veterinary Technology education and training do not allow for that level of specialized surgery.
UMA Veterinary Technology (Vet Tech) students do perform medical care to unowned animals that would not get medical care in most situations. Animal sources include rescues and humane societies.
