Professional academic advisors reach out to their incoming assigned first-year students to schedule a meeting to select and register for classes. However, students are ultimately responsible for their class schedules and enrollment. Because no communication system between student and advisor can produce 100% perfect results all the time, the most responsible step a student can take is to proactively contact their academic advisor to ensure their meeting gets scheduled.
