What's a syllabus?
The syllabus is a written document developed by the instructor that acts as a student and instructor contract for a course. A syllabus will typically include faculty contact information and hours, assignment information, attendance requirements, and grading policy. A syllabus may also include course materials and handouts. For live classes, faculty often choose to distribute the syllabus at the first class meeting. For online classes, the syllabus is often posted in the online course site.
