Can teachers require you to participate in regular classes during Thanksgiving break (online course)?
It is typically understood that everyone is on "recess" Thursday through Sunday so no online responses should be due during that time.
Having work to do over a break in a general sense, such as catching up on assigned readings or working on a paper that's due later in the semester is not uncommon. That said, you should probably not experience specific course deadlines during a break.
